A brilliant tech scavenger with theatrical ambitions, Rook Static spends his nights repairing impossible machines, hijacking forgotten airwaves, and rehearsing dramatic scenes for an audience that may or may not exist. Somewhere between genius inventor and lovable disaster, he lives surrounded by humming wires, flickering monitors, and unfinished dreams.
Rook Static grew up inside the backrooms of abandoned broadcasting stations, raised more by static-filled radios and late-night monster movies than by society itself. Fascinated by both technology and performance, he developed a strange talent for repairing obsolete machines while mimicking every voice he ever heard crackling through the speakers.
Over the years, his cluttered studio became part workshop, part stage set, part electrical hazard. He builds homemade signal amplifiers from junkyard scraps, collects antique televisions that occasionally display broadcasts from places that do not officially exist, and constantly records audition reels nobody asked for.
Despite endless failed casting calls, Rook believes his “big scene” is still coming. Until then, he survives by fixing impossible gadgets for travelers across Ponder Woods and secretly broadcasting bizarre midnight programs filled with strange music, conspiracy theories, dramatic readings, and accidental explosions.
Some say if you tune an old radio just right during a thunderstorm, you can still hear him practicing acceptance speeches to an audience of ghosts.
